Lisa Nashman

My name is Lisa, and I live just outside Montreal, Canada. I grew up with dogs, big dogs. My family literally had the biggest dog in the area when we were growing up. I'd never liked small dogs, nor gave two thoughts to them until I had moved out into a condo and was thinking about getting MY first dog. I ended up falling in love with my brother's frenchie because she was tough and not squeaky but calm and sweet. Charlie was my first. I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but he's literally the best dog in the entire world. He needs nothing more than 2 walks a dog (10 mins max) and food and water. He did everything with me, everyone loved him, and he was my whole world. He did have a few weird nervous tendencies and I later found out he didn't come from a breeder here, but rather from Hungary. No wonder he didn't like to be touched a certain way, or like loud sounds. So, I wanted to breed these incredible dogs, but do it the right way, and to socialize them to the best of my abilities so they could live a beautiful happy and fulfilling life

Being a breeder, it is my responsibility to raise these puppies to be as successful as possible. I dedicate hours a day to socializing my puppies: to sounds (they spend 20 minutes, 3 times a week listening to puppy socialization videos on YouTube which include common scary sounds like honking, banging and thunder), they are raised underfoot with the rest of my dogs, which is fantastic because they learn manners way earlier than most, I tickle their bellies and invite them to lay on their backs, I practice husbandry and dremel their nails 2 times a week from week 2 and lastly, I also do ENS (early neurological stimulation). These are all things that are proven to help these puppies be the best dogs they could be. In my follow up to this post I will include videos of both these two activities.

I get asked all the time why ALL my dogs don't live with me. The reason I have so many of my breeding dogs in guardian homes is because I believe every dog deserves to be as happy as possible. I'm only one person, and I just don't have the time to devote to all of them. This doesn't mean they are disposable to me. In fact, it's the opposite. I've raised every single one of them. Housetrained them, bonded with them, and loved them. I have selected the best homes for every single one of them and they have all bonded tremendously with their people. Sometimes we have to be selfless, and place our beloved pets in homes they deserve.

Pictured is Charlie (my first frenchie who now lives with my brother and his best friend). It was love at first sight.

I've been hooked ever since.

After countless conversations, moments of self-reflection and 5 litters l've decided EXACTLY what my mission statement is from a business prospective: I'm a breeder of high quality, healthy, happy, socialized, and bright frenchies. My goal is to produce beautiful quality, but with the added bonus of being socialized, bright and well-adjusted. A frenchie is not only a cute lap dog, it COULD go on hikes, ride in the car, meet new people and dogs without too much chaos, be left home alone, be attentive, obedient, focused. Pairing the proper dam and sire, socializing them starting with ENS, ending with living underfoot with my adult dogs with little to no issues. These are some of the things that contribute to my success thus far. All my pets are priced the same. Colour does not change my pricing for pets. I'm selling pets as a companion. A 10 year investment that is much more enjoyable when the focus isn't only on colour. I match my pups with their proper humans. It's how I believe it's meant to be.

I'm always here for any questions or concerns. Thank you for loving my dogs they are pretty incredible if I do say so myself!
